The Pet Photography Sessions start at only €70. This fee includes:
- Photoshoot 45-60 minutes long, depending on the pet.
- You’ll get a minimum of 10 digital photos
- Prints can be purchased separately.
Just like family portraits and photos with your spouses, we should endeavor into having your pet photos on the photo wall in your home.
To ensure their safety and comfort, cats and small animals will be photographed right at home, whereas for dog shoots an on-location experience is recommended, somewhere where your pup can relax, the choice of the location is up to you. Please note, sessions held outside Kilkenny city will incur a reasonable travel fee.
How it works
1. Start here!
First, get in contact and get a quote for your requirements. If you decide to book a session, you can schedule one that suits your calendar. Consider getting in contact at least two weeks in advance before the desired date.
2. The Photo shoot
Please read how to prepare for your session below. Bring props/outfits that you’d like to use or let the photographer know and the props can be arranged by Arlukova Studios. Using props is fun and creates a variety in final images. You also have an option of posing with your pet in a couple of shots at no extra cost.
3. Purchasing Prints
After your session your images will be professionally edited and delivered by method selected by you. This can be a USB memory stick, through e-mail, or uploaded to a secure online gallery. This is where you view your photos and choose any products that you’d like to purchase as printed products.
How to prepare for your session
- Make sure your pet’s vaccinations are up to date.
- Have a lot of patience, if you arrive stressed your pet will pick up on that.
- If you have booked a dog session, try to ensure that you have taken your pet for a walk, they will need a little exercise to get rid of excess energy, don’t totally wear them out though!
- Get your pet groomed before your session, the minimum should be a good brushing before the shoot.
- You do have the option of being included in a few of the images. Avoid bright patterns, stripes, plaids or clothing with writing on it. Mid-tones and darker muted tones are normally best.
- Practice your commands, particularly with a dog, sit and stay!
- Bring your pets favorite treats, if you have a dog and it is not allergic, bring some peanut butter, it will be great for some of the images.
